The energy of the month of Iyar is healing on all levels. We focus on the healing of the body, heart, and soul. During this month, it is important to let go of that which does not support us and open up to that which does. In order for healing to take place, we must foster a connection to the Creator's Light. We can do this through prayer, meditation, and mitzvot (good deeds). Through these we open ourselves to divine healing in our lives. Iyar is the bridge between the two months of Nisan, in which we celebrated Pesach, and Sivan, in which we will celebrate Shavuot. During this month we continue with the Counting of The Omer, which is seen by our Sages as a spiritual cleansing and healing. In the month of Iyar, we can heal ourselves as well as be a channel of healing for others.
